- Announcing a new 100m Oberwerk model- our 22x100mm is the lightest 100mm binocular on the market, and one of the least expensive.
- Quality multi-coatings maximize the amount of light that passes through a lens. An uncoated lens surface passes only 95% of the light that hits it- 5% is lost due to reflection and scattering. A single-coated lens surface is more efficient, passing 98-99% of the light. A multi-coated lens surface is the most efficient, passing about 99.5% of the light. Binoculars have many air-to-glass surfaces (between 14 and 22 for each side), so the number of uncoated, single-coated, and multi-coated surfaces can make a huge difference in overall efficiency. All OBERWERK binoculars utilize the highest-quality broadband multi-coating on all air-to-glass surfaces. Most competitors multi-coat only the exterior surface of the objective lenses, single-coat the other lenses, and usually have uncoated prisms. Click here for an example.
- Available now- OBERWERK green laser pointers. Green laser pointers are fantastic for pointing out night sky objects to others- the bright beam appears to reach to the stars. The OBERWERK 5mW CW green laser is the lowest-priced of it's type available anywhere.
- Availble now- our long-awaited lightweight 20x80mm. Low-reflection broadband multicoating is used on every air-to-glass surface, including prisms- an Oberwerk-exclusive feature not found on any competitor's 20x80mm.
- Available now- our first roof-prism binocuar. The OBERWERK 8x42mm binocular is our most compact model. Perfect for birding (close-focus distance is less than 10 ft.), hunting, and sporting events. The 8x42mm utilizes phase-coated roof prisms for maximum efficiency.
